Given that Bill is
somewhat computer challenged, I just showed him some of the computer messages;
and both of us enjoyed some more tears together. Of course Bill couldn't just
read the messages, he had to go out and check on BR2 several times!
As
I've said on one of the threads, he is truly humbled by the attention. I'm sure
he'll post something directly (through Linda).

Tim, you have been
great. I think you have been a comfort for Linda, & Bill to have around, and
it was an honor to meet you , and a100+ other people today. I've never
experienced anything like this in my life. Everywhere you turned people enjoying
people. As I said before, this is what I joined this organization for. To meet
people, and travel further. I want to share a quick story Bill shared with
us on our ride. As we were riding into a small town outside of Eaton, we saw a
leveled lot amongst other houses. Bill told us, not long ago there was a 3 story
apartment building there. It caught fire, and Bills Company got the call. His
partner and him ended up getting trapped in there for 2 hours. Bill managed to
work his way free, but not his partner. His partner was trying to make Bill get
out of there to save his on life since he freed himself. Bill would have no part
of it. If his partner didn't make it. Neither would Bill. Bill struggled and
struggled, and eventually worked his partner free, and they both made it out. 8
bikes on that ride, and not all had CB's. I'm glad Bill had one to tell us the
story as we rode by the scene. I know I wasn't the only teary eyed rider on the
ride.

Every once in a while
the stars align themselves and great things happen. Those of us that were
privileged to have been a part of this, both in person and in spirit, may never
again be able to repeat something this pure and good. Lets ALL be thankful that
we were there when it happened. Randy |

I agree Randy, it was
such a blessing to see a guy like Bill so happy. And it was such a great feeling
to know that we were a part of it. BTW it was great to finally get to meet
all of you. I know the memory's will stick with me the rest of my life.
Thank You all for letting me be a part of such a great event. Gary From

Okay Greg so I did
too. On the ride as most of you do I'm sure you have quiet time and think. So
relaxed and able to think with a clear mind.
As we rode and during the
quiet times all I kept thinking about was the comment posted on Bill's reaction.
"What is this for the day", then a few at the same time including Joe said NO
this is yours permanent. At that point Bill I think understood what was going
on. He broke down then as so many of us witnessed, and during the ride this is
all I could think of.
Normally if there is tears in my eyes on a ride,
it is from wind or something not from an event like this.

Considering the
weather, I was absolutely THRILLED that we had so many bikes turn out. It also
made my heart smile when y'all started blowing the horns as we all came out of
the barn into the yard.
I wonder what the neighbor was thinkin'
Beautiful downtown Manchester, Jaw-ja. (dont blink, you'll miss
us!)

When the horns
started blowing my heart skipped a beat and I had to catch my breath, it was
beautiful.
And then there was the 9/11 11/9 comparison, all I could say
to myself
was...WOW |
