We had a special
guest from England at the event today. I would love to hear his perspective on
this whole event. I think someone said that he was just flying in to visit a
friend and the friend loaded him up and told him "we're goin' to Ohio". Does
anyone know the details on Ian??

Andy, the name slips
me, but I have it written down some where, I'll look up. They're from Vermont.
That's all I remember off the top of my head.
I'm sure they'll see your
post when they get home, and give the details.

I'm wired again after
having dinner with about 18 people left over from the party. We took over Golden
Coral. Just like Friday night, other people curious about what was going on.
Tell them the story, in 5 minutes, and they are amazed. Looking back for a
second, to me, it is hard to believe what we accomplished, and then pulled off,
in 5 weeks total. Not ONE unhappy customer. Speechless

Andy, I only have
a few details to provide. Ian came to the U.S. to visit Kent (from VT) for his
vacation. He spent only one night in Vermont and was told they were going to
oHIo for the weekend. Kent used to live in England for many years and they knew
each other then, and still keep in touch. We had the pleasure of talking with
him for quite some time Friday night and again on Saturday. He is a biker from
some time back, but is currently not riding. He was somewhat overwhelmed (as
were most of the rest of us) by the generosity of all those involved in making
this happen, especially the time taken by all those who showed up from all parts
of the country to meet 'cousins' they had never met before. (After all, we are
FAMILY, right?) |
