Just got off with Santa, and Big Red 2 is loaded on the sled and headed to Miamisburg from Creesy's Honda in Tn.
By the way, our Santa is none other than, Gary & Shirley Verhulst. They left their house yesterday so they could pick up BR2 first thing in the morning today. Once they arrive hear we'll take it to be lettered on the back Bill on one side, Linda on the other. Big Red 2 in the middle. And yes, this has been okay'd by Linda. I owe a big thank you to Gary & Shirley, even though they can't read this because they're driving.
I just wanted to keep everyone updated.
BR2 is a 98SE in mint condition. It has just been fully serviced, and comes with an extended warranty until 2005. It currently has 80,000 miles.

A letter in Wing World recently recounted an incident in which a man died of a heart attack at the Irish Getaway in Dublin and Gary transported his Wing home to Lake City, FL. Maybe this isn't a cross country but it's not right around the corner either. When I'm looking for a vendor to patronize I'll be remembering that account. Hats off to Mr. Verhulst........

I have been watching and reading about the "Hine's Project" with a great deal of interest. Due to some unfortunate (although temporary)circumstances, June and I have been unable to become part of this. I know there are others who are simply observing this fantastic thing you all have accomplished. I think I speak for all of us when I say "Well Done!"
I wish I could be there.

The eagle has landed. He just called me and will be rolling up in the drive any minute with BR2. I'll get a picture of it when we put it in the painting garage. (lettering/painting)

Greg Hayden:
I have been trying to follow everything that's been going on in the Hines project. Unfortunately, I'm still slammed at work and I haven't seen it all. The story itself is very touching and I would like to say to all those who were quick enough and kind enough to respond, good for all of you. You are all the reason I like GWRRA.
To you Greg, a special ATTA BOY!!!!!! You have shown your kindness and courage through this whole event. You are a person that I would be proud to follow. Your example is shining, your heart is large and your love for your fellow man is obviously immense. I can only imagine how much time and effort you have expended on this project. Thank you for showing us all what GWRRA is really all about.
To all others who devoted time and effort on this project....DITTO
We are all priveledged to be a part of GWRRA with the likes of you all as fellow members....
As Carli would say....
