I almost cant believe that the
day is just about here. Not sure about you, but for me, these past 5 weeks have
been pretty much a blurrrrrr. And yet, Saturday seems like it's 5 weeks away.
But yes, it's finally here. The DAY we have been waiting for.
Folks will start gathering today in eager anticipation. People awaiting the
morrow, some with renewed faith in man's spirit to come together in a common
cause, others silently thanking the one that really made all this
possible.
Some will meet face-to-face for the first time, others will
see friends they havent seen in years. I'm looking forward to putting faces to
names, knowing that my life will be richly blessed with each new face I meet.
What a GLORIOUS day this will be!
Bonnie and I will begin our trek in
just a few hours. Soon we'll be meeting the rest of "The
Georgia Gang" and continue our Northern journey. We should arrive late
this afternoon. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's anxious about this trip.
As I think ahead, I doubt some of us will sleep tonight. The excitement
will be at a threshhold only to be surpassed by the first glimmer of Saturday's
morning sun. I think many of us won't even need the hotel's wake-up call, we'll
be wide awake long before that telephone rings.
And for those of us
coming in from the Southern climes, I'll bet that even if there were snow, the
warmth that will surely be radiating from the Sim's farm would keep us all
comfortable at a gathering that'll have all the neighbors wondering "How come
there's snow everywhere EXCEPT at the Sim's place?"
This GWRRA FAMILY
has once again banded together to help one of their own. To coin a phrase
usually only heard at weddings, What God has brought
together, let no man put asunder"
Yes folks, Christmas Day
will come to Ohio early this year. And I'm certainly PROUD to have been able to
take a small part in arranging the happenings of THIS day!
See
you in Ohio! Safe journey to all who will be there!
Beautiful downtown Manchester, Jaw-ja. (dont blink, you'll miss

I will be heading that way
later today. Weather changes have dictated that we bring the cage, but hey! More
room for the goodies!

Betsy and I are disappointed
that we cannot make the trip to meet everyone and also to see Bill's face when
he sees Big Red 2. Hope everyone has a safe journey. Keep us posted on how
everything went. Can't wait to see some of the pictures.
