Are we eating somewhere on Friday night? Where might it be?

I'm taking a redeye Thursday night and will be in Dayton by 10am Friday and I'd like to meet some of you before the event on Saturday. Linda (or her designee) is picking me up at the airport and won't let me rent a car or get a motel room.

Folks, keep my cell phone number handy. I spoke with our chapter ambassador last night, and he told me of a nice place in Germantown, I'm going to call and check on today. I took the rest of the week off work, because the brain isn't multi tasking anymore. Just 1 focus for me now, and that is this. I know Robin, & Joe, I wasn't working that hard before...yadda yadda yadda....
I had to laugh. Our ambassador is a great guy. He's from the old book. He told me the name of the restaurant, and I said I would look it up on Google, and find out where they're at, and he says, " "the phone book always worked good for me." I had to laugh...he's right.
Okay, I found the Florentine Restaurant on the web, but still had to look the phone number up in the book. I'll call them later this morning when they're open. I suppose I should tell them there maybe about 25 of us coming. I'll let you know. Germantown is right on 725. Go to my profile, click on my website, and I put a little map on the "Hines" link. You'll see 725 to Miamisburg, that's the way you go to Germantown too. About 15 minutes from Gratis. To get there from Eaton, get on 122 from 35, and go south to Gratis. Here's the Florentine. http://www.shakerwssg.org/florentine_hotelgermantown_ohio.htm Well, the link isn't working, so just copy and paste it.

I had to laugh. I called the Florentine this morning, and the cleaning lady answered (don't open until 4) She was all excited about a large group coming. She told me to call Beth the manager at 3PM, and she'll fix us up. She also told me she'll have it all nice and shinny for us.

Robin, I'm thinking around 6:30 or 7 to give people a chance to get in town, and settled. Then cruise down 725 to Germantown.

You will not be disappointed at the Florentine if it is anything like it used to be. We lived in that area for years and used this establishment for many group dinners.

I hope you all have a great time and don't give Bill a heart attack because of the elation he is going to experience.

I told them anywhere from 25 to 45 people, and she said no problem. Reservations are for 6:30PM. if you get there first, the name on the reservation is.....................

Now that we have a secret password -- pins on the way, and a Hines Cyber Chapter, when are we going to get the HWG secret hand shake started?
