Hey everyone. I have
been archiving all the threads containing to the Hines Wing. I know that we will
be talking about this for a long time to come, but I want to stop the archives
soon, so that I can put them on a CD and send it to Bill & Linda, so that
they can view all the threads (past & present) at anytime, with out having
to go on-line. I am planning on stopping the archive after Friday night. So if
there is anyone who wishes to post any additional comments or threads for the
Hines, please do so before the end of the week.
Thank you

Pardon my rambling,
but I would like to share just a couple of my thoughts and observations
regarding the events of the past few weeks.
There are some events that
stand out more than others in my life. Not that any one of them is more or less
important to me than the other, but they are all times in my life that I can
place where I was, what I was doing, and how I felt. I am proud to say that I
can add this past weekend to that list.
First, I need to thank everyone.
Not just the people I met this weekend, but all those I didn’t meet. Those that
were there that I didn’t get a chance to talk with, and those that weren’t able
to make it. You are all very special. I feel honored to have been able to be a
part of this.
As I slept Saturday night, images from the day kept
creeping thru my mind. Walking in late to the Florentine Hotel and when the
gentleman asked us if we needed a table for two and the smirk on his face when I
asked him if there was a group of GoldWingers there. The openness of the group
that night to welcome us. The day of the event, the bikes arriving. The way that
everyone pitched in and worked together to setup the tables, food, chairs, food,
bikes … and food, did I mention food? Bill’s initial reaction of bewilderment
when everyone starting walking out of the barn. The bikes, horns blaring, as
they came thru the doors to their spot in the yard. The prayer we were lead in
by Bill and Linda’s Pastor. The presentations lead by Gary, Joe, Bob, Jack and
Greg … each doing their best to keep their composure. The absolute disbelief on
Bill’s face when it hit him that this was his and Linda’s bike forever … not
just the day. The cheers, the smiles and the tears shed by everyone throughout
the entire presentation.
Gloria and I have only been members of GWRRA
since April. We have not had the opportunity to experience any of the gatherings
until this past weekend at Dave & Judi’s. As I first felt when I joined
GWRRA, I think this is going to be a very, very good thing. I am looking forward
to seeing everyone again next time.

Dearest Jim and Gloria:
Thank You for the kind words. You're right about knowing exactly where and
what you were doing when an event takes place. Welcome to our "Family of
Friends" and I hope you will make it to the reunion in 2003.
Greg: Got
any extra Kleenex when you come over Saturday or should I send Bill out for
some? God
Bless! Love and Prayers, Linda, Bill & Big Red 2}
