Tommy... I belong to:
1. A Baptist Church.
2. GWRRA.
I'ne NEVER seen where any
committe of five could make a decision on ANYTHING in one day.
And YOU
expect 200 PEOPLE to figure out where to meet in a year... RIGHT NOW????
You're KIDDING, right????? TELL me you're kidding!

Mole..
As I
have been named the coordinator of this group (HWG), along with Linda, I guess I
have some authority here.
Tell your boss that he will know when you know
.
Because we don't know, yet.
Wish I could just pick a date and say this
is when, but as with anything lots of planing is involved. First step in this
process will be to figure out where, then when.

How about the weekend
before Wing Ding, Fri. June 27 - Sun. June 29th. The Amana Colonies sounds O.K
or somewhere within a couple days ride of Wing Ding for those that are going.
Heck -- we've never been to OH or WI. That way we could work the whole deal into
one trip!
Anybody up for that?

Next years Hines
Reunion Rally will be somewhere in the middle of the country for all to be able
to get to. As far as when.....let's pull this one off first, then start
hammering our travel coordinators, Robin & Linda.

I don't suppose we
could consider this either May or September? I am in Alaska June,July and
August. If not,I might just have to ride to Ohio by myself in September!

Hey Greg and all the
Hines Wing Group, how about the weekend before Wing Ding, and the Amanas in Iowa
is sorta central, and so is the Savanah, Gelena area of Illinois, great camp
ground there called Mississippi Palisades, good roads, nice and scenic, and
always good food. |

Iowa and Illinois are
sorta central???? Where did you get that map? Guess it might depend on
your definition of sorta.

Bill, From that
hotbed of midwest activity, Des Moines (less han 100 miles west of the Amana
Colonies that Steve Hatten sugested), my map finds these approximate mileages:
Boston 1170 Miami 1320 Dallas 625 Los Angeles 1410
Seattle 1460 Calgary 1160 Toronto 750
Sounds 'sorta' central
to me! |

To All concerned,
Linda, Greg and I discussed this at dinner last night. We are thinking
near the end of August. Have to check into a few things and will know more at a
future date. The time frame is set but not the week yet. Mid to late August.
I sure hope that this will suit most everyone. I know there will be a few no
matter when that will not be able to make it. I wish we could plan it where all
could.

We are all trying to
pick so date for the Hines' reunion - a date that a lot of Wingers can attend -
and somewhere that is central to most of us.
How about this: I noticed
Wing Ding is from July 1 - 4th. Since Monday is the 30th of June and most folks
will be traveling to Wind Ding either that Saturday or Sunday, why not simply
set the reunion up on July 1st. I suspect you'll have a very large crowd of
those that attended the affair and lot of other that simply want to wish Bill
and Linda well.

Just a little trivia.
The geographical center of the lower 48 states lies outside of Lebanon, Kansas,
in the middle of a hog farm. Therefore, Topeka and Kansas City are a couple of
the more centrally located larger cities.
With our limited vacation
time, we probably wouldn't be able to attend anyway. We'll just be watching for
those "Hines Wing Group" pins wherever we go, and hope to meet as many of you as
possible, one at a time.
