Good morning all!

Just got off the phone with Greg. He said he was real surprised by the number of people who showed up at dinner last night. Greg had told the restaurant to expect 20-30 people, but 57 showed up!!!

Greg said most everyone couldn't sleep last night with all the anticipation of todays presentation. He said he was up until 2:00 am and finally gave up and got outta bed at 5:00am for the day.

It was about 8:00 am est when I talked to him, and he said if anyone wants to call during the event, they are welcome. The presentation is scheduled for 10:00, so 'ya might not want to call at 9:45......I'm sure it'll be a bit stressful then.

Greg can be reached at 513.324.2902, his cell #. He said there are lots and lots of cameras and video cameras and that he was going to try and load some mpegs on his site, so everyone who couldn't make the event could still see it.

Heck, there's two hours to go, I'm sittin' here kinda nervous myself.......I can't wait to see the video!

God Bless this group!!

Morning Steve...thanx for the quick update...I was thinking of calling, but didn't want Greg's c-phone to go sounding off while he was trying to hide

Just checked the weather channel on the web for their area...man, they got 50's and almost clear this early, should be in the 60's with some wind and only 10% chance of wet ...sure beats the heck out of 28*F "up here" this AM!!! (But we got sunshine peeking over the trees)

On my 2nd pot of coffee and fairly antzy myself, can only imagine what I'd be like if there with them. Lookin' forward to Hines Spring Fling though, can't be that far off.

Got my can-o-chili ready to toast in proxi then have to settle down and try getting ready for work tonight.

Hurry up with the pictures!!! Just hope the printer don't run out of ink........

God Bless to all

Good mornin' to you too Jerry!

I'm a morning person, but it seems most on this board sleep in on Saturday mornings. Glad to hear others are up too.

Yup, Hines Spring Fling, er Hines Ding, whatever it ends up being called is something I'm gonna be at! I just couldn't get away for this, but in the spring I trust I will.

Was through your neck of the woods this summer. We took Rte 2 across your state on our way to Cape Breton & P.E.I.. Beautiful state you have. So, you're a flatlander....from...?

Ah good morning everybody, I'm kinda at a loss for words, I had thought about calling Greg this morning so I may just go do that now its 8am here so I guess that makes it 9am there might just go do that now or else it will probably be very busy after the presentation. Still wishing I could be there. Looking forward to the reunion and hoping I can get to that.

Hey everybody ...just called Greg on his c-phone (bout 15 minutes ago), they are at Judi's farm trying to get last minute stuff together and get the coffee made. Not too good of c-phone reception but Greg finally turned his head just right and I got him to stand still long enough to wish everyone well from all of us....told him that ALL of us are alive and awake as though we were there. You could hear the anticipation in his voice!! "Snuggles" is quick, but doin't think we could make it in time for parade line-up

Count down time now.........

Steve... nope, I'm not a local..grew up in "West" by God Texas (Odessa) where it's really flat and really hot, spent most of my life in the USN and then ended up in this neck of the woods. Did you get to ride the Kangamangus Highway on your trip through?? A twisty mountain road over in NH with some really pretty spots.

OK, here's the latest.....

Bill has NOT yet arrived. I just spoke with Greg and they are all lined up behind the house waiting for him. I thought that waiting till after 10:30 to call him would be ok, but he's asking us to wait til around noon to call him now. He said there is going to be several speeches after Bill gets there and that it is quite chaotic right now. He apologizes to the many people who have called him in the last 1/2. He said it was just to hectic to answer the phone. So....let's give him a little more time before we hit him with a bunch of calls.

What a great guy!

Well everyone, you did a GREAT JOB. God bless each and everyone one of you. Flatlander Jerry, sorry you and I could not be there too. I did ride in our Veterans Day parade here while ya'll presented to the Hines his Big Red II. I thought about you while I was riding down the middle of the street saying to myself, "This is one great country to be a part of right now." Jerry enjoy those peppers and maybe come this spring I'll send ya some more to take to the Hines Spring ?. Take care all for now.

Thanks for being there for us too Donald, someday we're going to be in an area where we can jump and run with all you folks out there...the north countries nice, but not like being a little closer to everyone.

Went out and started "Snuggles" at 10AM, she must've known what was going on...28*F this AM and she fired right over and hummed like it was summer. Just sat there for about 15 minutes letting her idle, closed my eyes and tried to imagine....opened my eyes and dried them real good. Dang, what else can you say about thangs like this???

Greetings from the Sims' farm. I put a long post on Joe's thread "The Eagle has Landed" trying to describe briefly the emotion of being here and participating in the presentation event. It's been a few hours now and BIG RED 2 is out on it's first ride with about 6 other motorcycles. We're cleaning up and most folks have left.

I'm sure there will be more written as people get back to their computers. I have l hour of video and lots of still digital photos which will become available when I return to Seattle tomorrow.

Today was a very special day. November 9, 2002. 11-09-02. Just the reverse of 09-11-01.

Hi guys & gals. It was neat reading through these threads. I just relived the moment after reading each line picturing what was going on at the time of the posts. I wish I could have had live video/audio interface going on so you all could of shared it with us better. I couldn't receive half of the calls I got because there weren't too many towers where we were. Talking with Steve Jerry and the rest of you guys was great. People were wondering why I was standing, pointing in one direction, with one leg extended forward. That was how I got my cell phone to receive. Heh, what ever works.
