Investing in the future

This year’s PIF project focuses on the future.

We plan to help eight high school seniors from low-income families prepare for college. The goal of our group is to assist strangers and put them in a position to in turn help someone else some day. What better way than to help someone improve their entire life through education?

To that end, our mission is to provide the critically important tool of a laptop computer to each of the students.

These students will be going to college mostly on public assistance and their own hard work.   Some of them have small college athletic opportunities.  All of them come from broken homes.

We have enlisted the aid of a ‘middle man’ to handle the task of devising a plan to get the students to our PIF event.

No one in our group knows these young people and they don’t know us. They will have no clue that this gift is coming to them. This is truly “Paying it Forward” as we help complete strangers improve their lives.

The June 14th PIF event is less than 4 months away.  Our goal is to raise over $5,000 to buy the laptops and accessories needed to get them college-ready.

I know we can do it.

Every little bit helps, so pull out those checkbooks and send what you can. Donation checks should be made out to Jerry Fouquette and mailed to:
